Maggie McConville
Maggie McConville (McCoy) was born and raised in Chillicothe, Missouri. She graduated from Missouri State University (Springfield), summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. After graduating in 2016, Maggie moved to Orlando, Florida, to work in the tourism industry for a few years before returning to Chillicothe as a Substance Abuse Counselor in the Chillicothe Correctional Center. In 2019, she decided to return to school and seek an education in the legal field.
Maggie attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law and graduated cum laude in May 2022. In law school, Maggie served as a student emissary and on the board of several organizations including the Association for Women Law Students, Estates and Trusts Society, and Oliver Club, the law school’s mental health organization. Maggie worked as an intern for Judge Chapman at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, in the summer of 2020, and in her last year of school she was a legal intern with The MHP Law Firm, which specializes in real estate. While in law school, she also worked in UMKC’s Land Title Clinic, helping the Kansas City Land Bank clear title to abandoned properties, and the Entrepreneurial Services Clinic, providing services to start-up businesses.
Since joining the firm in 2022, Maggie assists clients with general legal needs, while focusing on family law, business law, probate and estate planning, municipal law, and real estate matters. Maggie serves as the Municipal Prosecutor for several municipalities in and around the Chillicothe area, with a focus on assisting communities in cleaning up nuisance properties. She also enjoys helping members of the community organize not for profit entities that benefit others.
Maggie is a member of the Missouri Bar and is admitted to federal practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. She also serves as the District 1 Representative on the Missouri Bar’s Young Lawyers’ Section Council, where she focuses on civic education outreach to students throughout the State. In 2024, Maggie was appointed to the Advisory Committee on Citizen Education for the Missouri Bar, where she continues to serve, and in 2025, she was presented with the Young Lawyers’ Section JoEllen Engelbart Award for her outreach efforts. Maggie is passionate about encouraging new lawyers to practice in rural communities to ensure legal access across the State.
Maggie lives in Chillicothe with her husband and children. She is a member of St. Columban Catholic Church and the Chillicothe Rotary After Hours Club, and serves on the Grand River Area Family YMCA Board of Directors. Maggie enjoys spending time with her family, community theater, cooking, gardening, and of course watching football!
